Plot:
Chilhood group named "Super Busters" with 6 members separated after one of them died in an accident, Menma. Ten years later, the leader group, Jintan, become a hikikomori (no social life, don't interact with people). Until one summer day, a ghost of Menma's adult form appeared before him. Apparently, it's ony Jintan that could interact with her, but she could interact with the world around her, like, cooking foods, eating, open door, etc. Menma could only go back if her childhood wish came true, which she also don't know, one thing that she know is that the wish won't come true if they're still incomplete. He asked his friends to help, eventually, they all helped even though they do it reluctantly.However, things grow increasingly complicated when his friends accuse him of not being able to get over Menma's death, for Jintan is the only one who can see Menma's ghost and his friends think he is seeing things. But as time flows, it is realized that not only Jintan who is having trouble letting go of the past. It is revealed that a majority of group members blame themselves for Menma's death and long hidden feelings are rekindled. The group struggles as they grow from trying to help Menma move on and and help each other move on as well. It is also revealed that there are some unfinished feelings....
My Comment:
tbh (to be honest), this anime is just freaking sad. the conflicts and everything, it told us that these kind of friendship do still exist in the modern era, even though it's so rare to find :( respect their friendship power though! still, i didn't cry but it took me out. AnoHana is just one of the most top ranked anime and sad anime, well, i personally don't care about the genre, or people's rating but i do care about the storyline. :(
